God took Moses up to the top of Mount Nebo and showed him the promised land that he could lead his people to, but never enter. I hope Moses had a clearer view than we did, but these are the plains of Moab, the Dead Sea and beyond... After this viewing God laid Moses to rest somewhere in the valley. Moses was 120 years old.
We could see Jerusalem faintly in the distance and Jericho clearly across the valley.
